I hope you had a great 4th and took some time to thank the men and women who serve our country. All fun and games aside, it is a nice reminder that freedom isn’t free and that we should never forget those that serve daily. I will forever be grateful to live in the land of the free because of the brave.
Today I am sharing my top 10 things on my summer bucket list! Mostly for myself because I want to be held accountable in making sure I get them all done. Plus I love a good list and the satisfaction of crossing it off once I have accomplished something.
Here they are:
- Family Vacation
- Drive-in movie
- Sleep in a tent
- Water ballon fight
- DIY project
- A picnic in the park
- Country concert
- Go hiking
- Read all of the Harry Potter books
- Turn my phone off for a few days
I can already cross off number 1! About two weeks ago I went to Minnesota with my family for a little get away. But first, we made a pit stop in Chicago before catching our flight to Minneapolis. My Dad and I had never been to The Bean so we took a walk to see that. Millennium Park is a super neat place to casually walk around, site see, and just really enjoy being outside.
Also, if you ever get the chance to see the Penatotnix preform, they are so incredible. The way they can make such beautiful music using nothing but their vocals really is awesome to see. I highly recommend seeing them in concert.
We are Red Sox fans and they just so happened to be playing the Twins on my Dads birthday so of course we had to go! We love to visit different ball stadiums as a family so it is always fun adding another park to our list. Luckily they won 1 outta the 3 games that played so we were happy. Of course we had to make a trip to Mall of America while we were that. That place is seriously a shopaholics dream! 😉 All in all we had a great time in the city and wouldn’t mind going back.
I look forward to crossing these fun activities off my summer bucket list. What did you put on your Summer Bucket List?! What have you already done?! I’d love to hear them, comment below or email me 🙂
Have a wonderful weekend and I’ll check back in soon!
