Bedroom Tour!

Good morning Friends!!

As promised, even though this is a much delayed bedroom post, here it is! I could list all the excuses of where I’ve been but they aren’t necessary and I’m here now so I’ll spare the time. I am excited to share my room though. It is pretty simple and not the most extravagant but that’s the way I like it.

I don’t know about you but when I move somewhere, I want to have my bedroom set up before I even go to bed that night. My last move started on Sunday morning and was finished by Sunday night! My mom was like “Shelby you haven’t been here for 12 hours and it’s already cuter than anything I’ve ever done!” That’s what I like to call success, if ya know what I’m saying. πŸ™‚

One of the nice things about moving home was that I only had to set up my room and not other rooms in the house. If I would of had to put anything else away like the living room or kitchen, I’d still be trying… NO thank you!

So, I’ll be honest I’ve always been the type to have a bedroom set for like 3 months and then want to change the whole thing. The bedspread I have now is from the Opal House line at Target and I’m seriously obsessed. I normally go for more of an off white comforter but when I switched to this light gray one, I think it’s in for the long haul. The two white pillows and long fluffy pillow are from TJ Maxx, and the green one is from Target. Some may say I have “too many pillows” but I say “no such thing”. πŸ˜‰

I bought my throw blanket about four years ago at Tuesday Mornings. This one is obviously quite old but is still doing the trick! My brothers think my bed tray is a little excessive but I think it’s perfect for dressing up your bed a little more, I picked it up at Target.

These marble side tables seriously are the cutest things I’ve seen. I love that they have so much character yet are so simple. This particular table in the picture above is actually the bigger of the two that I have and there is still have enough room to dress it up. Target of course hooked me up with this geometric lamp, which puts off just enough light for a warm cozy feel in my room.

Onto my favorite wall… if you couldn’t tell I love hats and while they are not being worn, I like to keep them on display. Target once again is my go to for hats! All of the other decor on the wall is from Hobby Lobby, I got these pictures when I first moved out for beauty school so they have been around for awhile. Also, the floor length mirror is my favorite. I dug through just about every inch of Tuesday Mornings to find it! If you look closely in that store you can find some serious treasures.

I have thought about changing out this four cubed unit for something a little more fashionable but it’s so practical for displaying things while also hiding stuff you don’t want to be seen. You gotta have a junk drawer somewhere, whose with me?!

Okay who am I kidding? I love this little corner as well. Hey Target, are you ready to sponsor me yet?? The chair, makeup vanity, and lamp are all from Target. The other side table and sign are from Hobby Lobby. I told you, those are my “go to” stores! My closet unfortunately doesn’t hold all my shoes so I decided to put this little rack on display. Adds a little something so I’ll keep it for now!

Y’all, this is my little humble abode and I seriously love to spend my time in here. I think it is important to have a space that can be used as an escape and this is mine. The only thing I’m missing is a coffee maker but I’ll keep that downstairs so I’m forced to get a little exercise. πŸ™‚

As you can tell, Target is one of my go to places for home decor. I also like to go to TJ Maxx, Home Goods, and Tuesday Mornings for more of the smaller stuff. I linked a few of my favorite items below!

As always thank you for reading! I hope you have a wonderful week!

xoxo, Shelby
